The Algorand Foundation has introduced the AC2 Protocol, a new security layer designed to mitigate risks in AI-driven operations. The protocol addresses two critical vulnerabilities: unverifiable human approvals and exposed credentials.

AC2 introduces cryptographic signatures for human approvals and ensures credential isolation by storing sensitive keys securely on the user's device. This prevents even if an AI agent's runtime is compromised, sensitive credentials remain protected.
