Algorand's Real-World Asset Ecosystem Expands Despite Struggling Price Action

Algorand's real-world asset (RWA) ecosystem is expanding into various industries despite ALGO's struggling price action. The token has lost around 45% of its value since June, trading at around $0.079. However, the technical picture remains fragile with ALGO below every major EMA and the long-term average still pointing lower.

The RWA ecosystem continues to grow, with Algorand supporting a range of assets such as fractional U.S. real estate through Lofty, tokenized gold and silver via Meld Gold, and renewable energy assets from Enel. This expansion is made possible by Algorand Standard Assets (ASAs), which enable regulated features like transfer restrictions and freezing directly at the protocol layer while maintaining low fees and fast settlement.

Despite this growth, the market remains waiting for higher fee-generating usage to arrive. Until then, the expanding ecosystem remains a long-term thesis rather than confirmed evidence of a sustained price reversal. The disconnect between ecosystem expansion and token performance is a key challenge facing ALGO's price action.
