$ALIGN Launched by Aligned Layer to Power Ethereum Stack
Aligned Layer has launched $ALIGN, its native token for the full Ethereum stack. This move is part of the company's efforts to make building financial products on Ethereum easier and more accessible. Currently, only about one percent of global assets are stored onchain, with most being stablecoins, tokenized treasuries, or wrapped assets.
Aligned aims to fix this issue by providing a single integration for wallets, rollups, interoperability, and zero-knowledge services. This stack is built in collaboration with LambdaClass, which has contributed significantly to the Ethereum ecosystem. The first piece of the stack, Proof Aggregation Service, is already live on mainnet alpha.
The remaining pieces, including Wallet-as-a-Service, Rollup-as-a-Service, and interoperability protocol, are currently in development. Aligned's RISC-V zkVM, built in collaboration with LambdaClass and 3MI Labs, will also be part of the stack. The native token $ALIGN will be used to pay for services across this stack.
The token has a fixed supply of 10 billion, with about 16% circulating at launch. The allocation and Genesis airdrop are outlined in the ALIGN tokenomics. Aligned is committed to Ethereum by choice and plans to ship the remaining pieces of the stack and grow the number of products built on it throughout the rest of the year.
