$ALIGN Token Launches as Aligned Aims to Turn Ethereum into Global Financial Backend
Aligned has launched its native token $ALIGN, which will be used to pay for services across its Ethereum stack. The launch comes after months of development in collaboration with LambdaClass, a key contributor to the Ethereum ecosystem.
Aligned's goal is to turn Ethereum into the world's financial backend by providing one-click solutions for wallets, rollups, interoperability, and zero-knowledge services. Currently, most assets onchain are held as stablecoins or wrapped assets, but building on top of them is still a complex process that requires integrating multiple vendors.
The Aligned stack includes Proof Aggregation Service, which batches proofs generated by rollups to keep verification costs low; Wallet-as-a-Service, which provides real Ethereum wallets with no seed phrases, extensions, or gas fees; and Rollup-as-a-Service, the LambdaVM, and interoperability protocol, all of which are currently in development.
The $ALIGN token has a fixed supply of 10 billion tokens, with about 16% circulating at launch. The full allocation and Genesis airdrop details can be found on the ALIGN tokenomics page. Aligned plans to ship the remaining pieces of the stack and grow the number of products built on it throughout the rest of the year.
