Aligned Layer's ALIGN Token Genesis Drop Airdrops 44% to Ethereum Community
Aligned Layer, an Ethereum infrastructure project, distributed its ALIGN token as part of a Genesis Drop airdrop. The airdrop rewarded a large portion of the Ethereum and zero-knowledge community for their support. It went live alongside the ALIGN token generation event on August 20, 2026.
The total supply of ALIGN is 10 billion tokens, with 8.74% allocated to the Genesis Drop. This was split into three components: a community allocation, a Distinguished Contributors tranche, and the ZK Arcade campaign. Roughly 44.36% of this allocation unlocked at TGE, with the remainder vesting over various periods.
The airdrop eligibility was distributed across five waves: engineers and researchers, Discord community members, Galxe Quest participants, distinguished contributors, and ecosystem token holders. Over 160,000 wallets registered for the Genesis Drop, but only those in these specific groups were eligible.
