Alphea Secures $5 Million to Build AI Agent Infrastructure
Alphea, a project focused on building infrastructure for AI agents, has raised $5 million in a strategic funding round led by Web3-focused investors. The company aims to create an 'AI-native distributed cloud' where autonomous software agents can run continuously, maintain state and memory, collaborate, and pay for resources.
The round was participated by MH Ventures, IBC Ventures, Titan Ventures, and Becker Ventures. Alphea believes that current cloud and blockchain stacks are not well-suited for continuous agent execution, persistent memory and storage management, or machine-to-machine (M2M) payments, functions necessary for an agent-driven economy.
Investors see the market pivot from focusing on model performance to reliable agent operations as a key trend. MH Ventures representative stated that making models durable services is one of the biggest tasks in the AI era, and Alphea's integrated stack approach addresses this challenge.
The funding will be used to accelerate technical upgrades and expand the global node ecosystem. The team plans to improve developer network and testnet readiness, refine command-line interface (CLI) infrastructure, and implement a layered node supply model that aggregates idle consumer and edge devices worldwide into a coordinated distributed supply network.
