Altcoin Bloodbath: Crypto Markets Widespread Selloff

Crypto markets experienced broad selling pressure during the evening session, with losses extending across all major digital assets. The two largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, Bitcoin and Ethereum, declined significantly: Bitcoin dropped 1.75% to $64,087.45, while Ethereum fell a steeper 2.44% to $1,857.23.

The impact was felt across the board, with BNB proving relatively resilient, down only 1.25% to $563.61. However, altcoins bore the brunt of the losses, with Solana plummeting 5.26% to $73.70, followed closely by Avalanche's 4.96% decline to $6.25.

Other notable losers included Dogecoin, down 4.35% to $0.07, and Cardano, which fell 3.82% to $0.16. XRP declined 2.03% to $1.09, in line with Ethereum's retreat.
