Altcoin Frenzy: Institutional Investors Shift Focus to XRP and Solana
Digital asset investment products saw inflows of $321 million last week, marking the second consecutive week of positive flows. This trend reflects strong investment interest in the United States, following the Federal Open Market Committee's decision to cut interest rates by 50 basis points.
The crypto fund assets under management grew by 9%, with Bitcoin leading the way with $284 million in inflows. Notably, short Bitcoin products attracted $5.1 million, indicating some investors are hedging against potential downside risks.
Ethereum continued its outflow trend for a fifth consecutive week, with outflows totaling $28.5 million last week. However, the Grayscale Ethereum Trust largely drove this trend, with month-to-date outflows now standing at $145.7 million.
XRP saw inflows of $0.1 million, coinciding with the launch of Grayscale's XRP trust. Solana maintained its appeal with $3.2 million in inflows, while Litecoin also saw modest inflows of $0.1 million.
