Altcoin Supercycle Emerges as Analyst Names Top Holdings
A prominent crypto analyst has identified what he believes is an altcoin super cycle, driven by excitement rather than Bitcoin strength. Ran Neuer pointed to the ETH/BTC ratio chart as evidence of this shift.
The current cycle has been a nine-year downtrend on the weekly chart, but it's now breaking out, according to Neuer.
He named Solana and Ethereum as two winners in what he calls the 'L1 war', crediting them for capturing real-world asset onboarding and crypto-native user bases respectively. He holds both tokens directly and believes they've absorbed most of the L1 value.
The analyst also highlighted Hyperliquid, calling it a strong use case with tokenomics that support its growth potential. He confirmed he would buy it at its current all-time high, citing mispricing due to FDV rather than staking-driven scarcity.
