Altcoin Surge Drives Crypto Market Growth Amid Bitcoin Consolidation
The cryptocurrency market has experienced a modest increase of 0.75% over the past day, reaching $2.68 trillion in value. This growth is primarily driven by altcoins, with Official Trump rising by 27%, Uniswap increasing by 6.7%, and Solana gaining 6.3%. In contrast, SushiSwap and IOTA have declined by 2.3% each, while Immutable has dropped 1.8%. The sentiment index remains near the extreme-greed threshold, indicating a shift from bearish to bullish sentiment.
BTC is currently trading near $80,000 but has reached a high of $81,500 during periods of low liquidity. This price spike marks a new three-and-a-half-month peak for Bitcoin. It's logical to expect consolidation at this level for 5-10 days or longer before the next stage of growth, which is expected in the $90,000 region.
The recent surge in BTC can be attributed to investor concerns over US government debt driving them towards alternative savings options like Bitcoin and gold. The in-flow into US spot Bitcoin ETFs has continued for eight consecutive trading sessions, amounting to a total of $54.7 billion since the start of this period.
