Altcoin Technical Signals Diverge as Rally Momentum Cools
Cryptocurrency traders are parsing a mixed technical picture across four widely followed altcoins. Hyperliquid is defending its bullish structure, while Zcash flashes overbought warnings.
Ethereum and Shiba Inu are battling key resistance levels after August rallies. Hyperliquid's 3.2% pullback to $82.50 during the session has not broken the broader uptrend. The token remains above all of its major daily moving averages, with a Relative Strength Index near 57 suggesting that the rally's momentum has cooled.
The key short-term support zone for Hyperliquid is the $78-$80 band, which, if defended, could set up another push toward $88-$90 and potentially even the psychological $100 mark. Zcash's overbought condition and wide gap above its moving averages suggest that chasing the rally at current levels carries elevated risk.
Ethereum is consolidating just above $2,400 after its August breakout from the prolonged $1,880-$1,920 range. Sellers have repeatedly attempted to push the price below $2,400, but the level has held so far, keeping the post-breakout structure intact.
