Altcoin Trio Holds Steady Amid Broader Crypto Uptrend
Top altcoins Ripple (XRP), Solana (SOL), and Cardano (ADA) are holding steady on Thursday, following a bullish rebound in the broader crypto market. The US Treasury bond buybacks have contributed to this uptrend.
Ripple is trading around $1.0951 after a 10% surge the previous day. Its technical outlook suggests further upside, with momentum recovering on the daily chart. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) has crossed above its signal line, and the Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at around 59.
For Ripple to extend its rally, it must reclaim the 100-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $1.1539, near the July 21 high of $1.1646. This could potentially target the June 15 high at $1.2935.
Solana is trading around $84.81, extending a bullish bias as price holds above the 50-day and 100-day EMAs at $76.30 and $78.41, respectively. Momentum is strong, with the RSI hovering in overbought territory near 72 and the MACD showing a positive trend.
Cardano is down over 2% on Thursday, putting its recent gains at risk. It holds marginally above the 50-day EMA at $0.1799 but remains capped beneath the 100-day and 200-day EMAs.
