Altcoin Tsunami Sweeps Through Crypto Market
The cryptocurrency market is experiencing a surge in altcoins, with several assets posting significant gains. Ripple's XRP has been a standout performer, surging past $1.65 for the first time in months and surpassing Binance Coin (BNB) in terms of market cap. This marks a major turnaround for XRP, which had dipped below $1.00 just last week.
XRP's 65% surge has been fueled by the broader market's rebound on Wednesday, which helped it recover from its recent low. The asset first broke out to $1.40 before pushing even higher and reclaiming ground above BNB.
Other altcoins are also experiencing significant gains, with Official Trump (TRUMP) surging 62% and ZCASH rising by 40%. Ethereum has reclaimed the $2,500 level after a 7% pump, while SOL, HYPE, DOGE, ADA, LINK, XLM, BCH, CC, and LTC have all posted double-digit gains.
