Altcoins Show Strength Ahead of Next Rally: Solana, PUMP, BNB, and SUI Lead the Way
Despite the altcoins market remaining under pressure, several projects continue to develop their networks and expand use cases. Solana is preparing its Agave 4.2 upgrade, which will reduce slot times from about 400 milliseconds to 200 milliseconds. This will give developers more room to build larger applications.
Solana has also seen significant growth in payment activity and ETF inflows. July became a record month for Solana crypto-card spending, reaching around $69.5 million, and daily net ETF inflows reached $8.8M, the strongest since May 12.
Michaël van de Poppe believes SOL needs to hold the $73.5-$74 support area for targets towards $120 to remain intact. PUMP has gained over 30% in the past week and nearly 90% in the past month, but its supply is set to increase with around 6.87 billion tokens unlocking on August 12.
BNB Chain aims to reduce block times further, reaching more than 100,000 transactions per second. The new Layer-1 roadmap also includes native privacy and quantum-resistant security features. BNB was included in a digital-asset index launched by S&P Dow Jones Indices and Penta Capital, but its price is consolidating around $600.
SUI is expanding payments through gasless stablecoin transfers, which allows users to send supported stablecoins without holding SUI for transaction fees. However, the system remains below its all-time high of $5.35, and further price recovery would be needed before a bullish setup becomes clearer.
