AMD Powers Live AI Infrastructure in Saudi Arabia With Cisco and HUMAIN
AMD's presence in Saudi Arabia has expanded as its computing infrastructure went live in partnership with Cisco and HUMAIN. The joint venture brings online a platform powered by AMD Instinct MI355X graphics processors and EPYC server processors, supported by Cisco's networking layer.
The production system enables HUMAIN to deliver graphics processing capacity as a service, designed for low latency and scale. This marks an important milestone in the broader partnership between AMD, Cisco, and HUMAIN in Saudi Arabia.
Future plans include adding up to 250 megawatts of new computing infrastructure starting in 2027, using AMD Instinct MI400 Series graphics processors and EPYC processors. The companies aim to reach one gigawatt of infrastructure by 2030, supporting the growth of Saudi Arabia's digital economy.
The platform supports sovereign computing strategy by allowing organizations to maintain local control over data and computing operations. This structure gives customers more flexibility when adapting models for language, business, or regulatory needs.
