AmericanFortress Proposes Quantum-Resistant Wallet System
Researchers at AmericanFortress have proposed a new system to protect Bitcoin and other crypto wallets from quantum computer attacks. The system, called ZKPoSP (Zero-Knowledge Proof of Seed Provenance), uses zero-knowledge proofs instead of elliptic curve signatures to verify wallet ownership.
This approach keeps existing wallet addresses intact, eliminating the need for fund migration. A prototype test showed proof generation took around 12-13 seconds.
The proposal follows other post-quantum efforts, including work from Project Eleven and the Bitcoin Security Consortium, which has pledged $15 million toward Bitcoin security research over three years.
