AmericanFortress, a company focused on cryptographic schemes, has proposed a solution to protect crypto wallets from potential quantum threats. The proposed scheme, called ZKPoSP, relies on non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs (NIZK) and is designed to maintain the existing address format without changing addresses.

ZKPoSP allows for the use of NIZK, a cryptographic method where one party proves knowledge of certain information without revealing the information itself. This method can be used to replace traditional signatures in hierarchically deterministic wallets.

AmericanFortress also described the QBIP32 scheme, which is intended to generate a signing scalar, a separate quantum-resistant proof, and a chain code in a single function call. The authors claim that QBIP32 can be applied to various simple-order elliptic curves, including secp256k1 and Ed25519.
