Americans Overwhelmingly View Crypto as Risky for Retirement
A recent survey conducted by the National Institute on Retirement Security has shed light on Americans' attitudes towards cryptocurrency and retirement planning.
The survey found that a staggering 77% of respondents consider crypto to be too risky for their retirement plans, with nearly half (46%) labeling it as very risky.
This sentiment is echoed in the fact that over half (53%) of those surveyed believe employers should not offer crypto as an investment option in workplace retirement accounts.
The concerns about crypto's riskiness come at a challenging time for Americans, who are already struggling to prepare for retirement. The survey revealed that 80% of respondents believe the US is facing a retirement crisis, up from 67% in 2020.
