Ampleforth Proposal Seeks to Transfer Nearly All USDC Balance

Ampleforth's governance system was put to the test recently when one wallet requested nearly all of its USDC balance. On September 15, a proposal titled 'Proposal 54' sought to transfer 2.5 million USDC to address 0x730Cdd82, which is roughly 98.5% of Ampleforth's displayed USDC and 70.2% of the total marked value.

The proposing wallet had received 87,238 FORTH of delegated power from address 0x38cA24D8 just before submitting the proposal. This sequence raises questions about governance control and whether prior steps in Ampleforth's process were followed.

Ampleforth's governor code includes a route allowing cancellation when a proposer's voting power falls below a certain threshold, which is exactly what happened in this case. The transaction sequence fits this rule, but it does not establish the decisive contract path or anyone's motive.
