Anchorage Brings Institutional Access to Frgmnt's fUSD Stablecoin
Anchorage Digital is expanding its custody services to include Frgmnt's fUSD and sfUSD tokens. The partnership allows institutional clients to hold, mint, redeem, and stake these tokens within Anchorage's regulated platform.
Frgmnt's stablecoin mechanics involve issuing fUSD against USDC on the Base protocol, with backing deployed across onchain lending markets. This setup generates returns for stakers in the form of sfUSD, which can be redeemed or held as collateral.
The integration between Anchorage and Frgmnt aims to simplify institutional workflows by reducing friction and operational overhead associated with custody arrangements. By keeping token management and staking within one platform, institutions can more easily access newer DeFi-linked stablecoin products.
