Anchorage Digital Integrates Frgmnt Stablecoin Infrastructure for Institutional Custody
Anchorage Digital, a federally chartered crypto bank, has integrated Frgmnt's onchain stablecoin infrastructure into its custody platform for institutions. This integration allows institutions to hold, mint, stake, unstake, and redeem fUSD within their existing custody environment without separate setup.
Frgmnt mints fUSD against USDC and routes that backing into selected onchain lending markets, with staking designed to convert fUSD into sfUSD for rewards tied to those strategies. The integration positions Anchorage Digital as a regulated access point for institutional exposure to Frgmnt's yield-bearing stablecoin ecosystem.
As of September 4, Frgmnt's sfUSD was generating an impressive 13.32% APR. However, the rollout is currently limited by Frgmnt's capped, invite-only beta, with around $100,000 in total value locked according to DeFiLlama data. The next step for Frgmnt is scheduled for September, with plans to open public access and raise its deposit cap on September 15.
