Anchorage Digital Opens Regulated Custody Path to Frgmnt's fUSD Stablecoin
Anchorage Digital has expanded its regulated custody platform to include Frgmnt's fUSD and sfUSD tokens, allowing institutional clients to hold, mint, redeem, stake, and unstake these stablecoins within a single workflow.
The integration positions Anchorage as a direct gateway for institutions seeking exposure to Frgmnt's yield-bearing stablecoin ecosystem, which issues fUSD against USDC on the Base layer-2 network incubated by Coinbase.
Frgmnt deploys its backing across onchain lending markets, and returns from those strategies flow to users who stake fUSD in exchange for sfUSD. The yield is variable by design, reported at 13.32% APR as of September 4, but noted that returns shift as lending-market conditions evolve.
The partnership extends Anchorage's expanding role in stablecoin issuance, staking, and treasury services, following earlier deals with Tether, Grupo Salinas, and Marinade Finance.
