Anchorpoint's HKDAP Stablecoin Faces Security Concerns
A recent review by security analyst Yajin Zhou has raised concerns about Anchorpoint's HKDAP stablecoin, which was launched on August 12. According to the review, HKDAP runs on an Ethereum contract that is not production-ready. This means it may not be able to handle a high volume of transactions.
The review also found that Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and revocation controls in HKDAP do not work as coded. KYC controls are designed to prevent money laundering and other illicit activities, but if they don't function properly, it could leave users vulnerable to these risks.
HKDAP is a Hong Kong dollar stablecoin that was launched with backing from Standard Chartered. The review's findings suggest that Anchorpoint may need to address these issues before the stablecoin can be widely adopted.
