A wave of long-dormant Bitcoin wallets has reawakened in recent days, moving over $15 million in combined value. Galaxy Research tracked four such wallets, which stirred between Aug. 29 and Sept. 4.

The largest wallet held 146.06 BTC, worth around $11.31 million, and had been untouched since November 2013. This stash delivered a gain of about 12,902% on a cost basis near $595.

A smaller 40 BTC wallet dormant since November 2011 followed, with a value of approximately $3.09 million. This patient holder managed to turn roughly $120 in BTC into more than $3 million by sitting on it for close to 15 years.

The oldest coins carried astronomical gains, with one 6.78 BTC transfer tagged with a Coinbase recipient attribution, typically signaling intent to sell. Several wallets also carried 'Noah Doe' sender tags, related to a New York lawsuit seeking to declare thousands of dormant addresses abandoned property.
