Ankr Unveils Public RPC Service for XRP Ledger
Ankr, a leading provider of blockchain infrastructure solutions, has launched a public Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service for the XRP Ledger. This move aims to simplify access to the network and make it easier for developers to build applications.
The new RPC service enables native support for 43 API methods across six functional categories, including account management, block reading, transactions, path finding, payment channels, and server information. This allows developers to interact with the XRP Ledger without having to run full nodes themselves.
Ankr's infrastructure distributes traffic through globally distributed full nodes under enterprise standards, ensuring high performance and reliability. The company notes that its nodes retain only two weeks of on-chain transaction history, making it suitable for real-time applications but not ideal for deep historical data analysis.
