Anthropic's CFO Krishna Rao revealed that senior finance professionals within the company have become the heaviest internal users of Claude, the AI model developed by Anthropic. The head of tax is consuming the most AI tokens, surprising many as they are not engineers or researchers.
Rao described a finance organization that has gone beyond casual AI experimentation, maintaining between 70 and 150 custom Claude 'skills' - purpose-built workflows and agents stored in shared repositories similar to GitHub. The team uses these skills for tasks such as generating statutory financial statements and weekly revenue reports.
