Apple Accused of Failing to Remove Fake Bitcoin Wallet After Mass Theft
A lawsuit alleges that Apple allowed a fake Bitcoin wallet to remain on its App Store despite reports of an $875,000 theft.
The plaintiff claims that they downloaded the wallet and sent over 6.1 BTC (approximately $875,000) in May 2024, only to discover later that it was a scam.
According to the lawsuit, Apple removed the wallet from the App Store several months after the theft was reported, but not before the plaintiff had already transferred their funds.
