Apple Sued Over Fake Bitcoin Wallet App Losses
Apple is facing a lawsuit from three users who claim they lost over $1.8 million in Bitcoin after downloading a fake Sparrow Wallet app from the App Store.
The plaintiffs, James Ramirez, Christopher Ellis, and Jalen Delgado, say they downloaded the app between May and August 2025 and entered their seed phrases, allowing scammers to transfer their BTC away.
Ramirez allegedly lost about $875,000, Ellis $840,000, and Delgado $120,000. They argue that Apple's safety claims misled them into trusting the app, which impersonated a legitimate Bitcoin wallet available only for desktop computers.
