Aptos' Stablecoin Milestone Falls Flat on Token Price
Aptos, a blockchain network, has reached an important milestone in its stablecoin supply, but its native token's price remains stagnant. The USDT (Tether) supply on Aptos has surpassed $1.1 billion, accounting for approximately 79% of the network's stablecoin value.
This growth is not translating into increased demand for APT, with its price hovering near an all-time low of $0.53 in August 2026. Despite recent ecosystem updates and the network's continued activity, the token has shown little reaction in terms of price.
The problem lies not with Aptos itself, but rather with the lack of sustained demand for APT. The network is growing its USDT presence, maintaining fast and inexpensive transactions, and continuing to develop, but markets do not automatically reward activity.
