Aptos' TVL Plummets 43% Amid Liquidity Exodus

Aptos' Total Value Locked (TVL) plummeted by over 43% in just one week, reaching $100 million as of writing. The decline began two months ago, with TVL falling from $280 million to $156 million at the end of June and then taking a sharp drop in the past week.

The significant factor behind this decline was Echo Protocol pulling out a substantial amount of liquidity, which had the greatest impact on Aptos' ecosystem. This loss of liquidity was accompanied by low user activity, with only 40.5K daily active addresses, and earnings that have declined by 72% from $366K to $103K.

The sharp decline in TVL also led to a drop in RWA TVL on Aptos, which fell 70% in the past thirty days. This could potentially cause traders to withdraw their staked APT, affecting the chain's security and further exacerbating the situation.
