Aquifer Hit with $2.5M Exploit as Attacker Offered 20% Bounty
Solana-based automated market maker (AMM) Aquifer has suffered a significant loss of around $2.5 million in an exploit involving wallets on both Solana and Ethereum.
The attacker, who is suspected to be behind the incident, has been offered a 20% whitehat bounty by Aquifer if at least 80% of the stolen assets are returned by September 3.
Aquifer's smart contracts were not exploited in this incident, according to available information. Instead, it appears that access to the affected wallets was compromised, leaving the exact point of entry unclear.
