Aquino Urges House to Pass Blockchain Budget Bill

Senator Bam Aquino has called on the House of Representatives to pass the CADENA Act, a bill that would require government agencies to publish financial documentation and disbursement records onto a blockchain ledger.

The proposed Citizen Access and Disclosure of Expenditures for National Accountability (CADENA) Act aims to give every Filipino real-time visibility into state expenditures by establishing a permanent, tamper-proof audit trail for public funds.

Aquino urged lawmakers to expedite the bill's passage, stating that if they are serious about fighting corruption and promoting transparency, it is time to act.
