ARB Lands on Solana Amid Fee Debate Between Network Founders

Arbitrum's governance token ARB has landed on Solana through Sunrise and Wormhole NTT, marking a rare cross-chain deployment. The listing opens a second venue for ARB traders while reigniting a public dispute over which network delivers better execution costs.

Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko pointed to a tenfold cost advantage over Arbitrum's home network, but this comparison has been disputed by Arbitrum co-founder Steven Goldfeder. Goldfeder argues that simple fee comparisons miss the protection Arbitrum offers against frontrunning and MEV.

The technical mechanics of the deployment come from Wormhole's NTT framework, which allows tokens to be moved across chains without pooled liquidity mechanisms. However, details about the deployment mode remain unclear, and neither Sunrise nor Arbitrum has issued an official statement confirming the mint address or specific venues with live ARB trading.
