Arbitrum Soars on Robinhood Chain Revenue Boost
Arbitrum (ARB) has benefited significantly from Robinhood Chain's growth and revenue increase, with its price surging by over 50% in the first week of September. In contrast, Ethereum (ETH) saw a mere 1.5% gain during the same period.
The reason for Arbitrum's success lies in the distribution of revenues from Robinhood Chain. A whopping 10% of the network's revenue is allocated to the Arbitrum team, with 8% going to the DAO and the remaining 2% to a developer guild that builds new features for the platform.
This setup has allowed Arbitrum to capture a significant share of the value created by Robinhood Chain's rapid growth. With on-chain activity on Robinhood reaching new heights, Arbitrum is reaping the benefits, with its revenue from the network totaling $1.9 million this month - a 220% increase compared to the previous month.
The fact that 10% of Robinhood Chain's revenue goes to Arbitrum has given the network a significant edge over other Layer 2 networks, including Ethereum. This has raised questions about whether Arbitrum is positioning itself as a leader in the altcoin cycle, especially with Bitcoin dominance below 60% and altcoin dominance on the rise.
