Arbitrum's ARB Token Skyrockets 28% on Strong Netflow and TVL Growth
Arbitrum has seen significant growth in recent days, with its native token ARB surging by 28% in the last day. This rally is largely attributed to the movement of bridge assets across chains, with Arbitrum dominating netflow and retaining $1.6 billion in value. According to data from Artemis, this positive netflow suggests that most capital has settled on the chain, which can have a positive impact on price.
Another factor contributing to the rally is the increasing total value locked (TVL) on the Arbitrum chain. Between August 19th and the time of writing, the TVL increased by $170 million, reaching a new level of $1.412 billion. This indicates strong commitment to the rally from investors.
Activity across decentralized exchanges has also seen a significant pickup in activity, with data from DeFiLlama showing that DEX volume grew by over 151% on August 29th, reaching a high of about $208.72 million. However, it's worth noting that this surge in activity reflects usage, not user growth, as daily active traders remained at around 106,500.
The perpetual market for ARB has also seen significant inflows of capital, with CoinGlass data showing that Open Interest (OI) rose by 65%, reaching $169 million. The Funding Rate of 0.0055% suggests that the majority of market flow and existing capital is positioned long.
