Arc Mainnet Launch Draws Attention to Token Performance
Circle's blockchain network, Arc, is set to open its public mainnet on September 16. The network uses USDC as gas and reference unit, boasts deterministic finality in under one second, and features institutional validators such as BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard, Standard Chartered, and DTCC.
The first focus of speculative attention is not on the institutional layer, but on the launchpads that have already operated within the network's private environment. Tolly leads activity with approximately $1.8 million in accumulated volume and a peak market cap of $2.47 million for TOLLY. However, this volume comes from a closed environment and does not equate to organic market demand.
The public launch will define three concrete questions: which launchpad manages to generate considerable volume in tokens other than its own; whether projects like Flipt and act.fun deliver on their commitments; and whether Arc's infrastructure performs correctly under public traffic.
