Archer Aviation's Midnight eVTOL Completes Record-Breaking 40-Mile Round-Trip Journey
Archer Aviation's Midnight eVTOL aircraft has achieved another milestone in its 'No Roads' demonstration tour, successfully completing a 40+ mile round-trip journey between Hollister and Salinas, California. The flight, which took approximately 12 minutes per leg at 125 mph, marks the fourth piloted round-trip journey completed by the Midnight eVTOL as part of Archer's nationwide tour. The aircraft reached speeds of 125 mph while maintaining a cruising altitude of 3,550 feet.
The 'No Roads' tour aims to demonstrate the capabilities and practicality of eVTOLs for commercial air-taxi operations. Archer plans to expand its demonstration flights across Northern California, followed by appearances in Los Angeles, Texas, Florida, and New York. The company's ultimate goal is to launch its eVTOL service ahead of the LA28 Olympic Games.
Archer Aviation completed over 70 test flights during August, including a piloted round-trip journey between Salinas and Monterey. Analyst consensus rates ACHR as a Strong Buy, with an average target price of $11.60 suggesting potential upside exceeding 103% from its current trading level of $5.72.
