Arctic Launches USDC-Denominated Token Platform on Circle's Arc Blockchain
Arctic, a platform focused on launching new tokens on the Circle's Arc blockchain, is set to debut its USDC-denominated token launchpad on September 16. This will coincide with the public opening of the Arc mainnet.
The platform, dubbed Arctic.fun, will enable users to create and trade tokens using USDC, with initial pricing handled through a bonding curve before migrating to liquidity pools on Uniswap v4. To ensure ongoing market support for newly launched tokens, liquidity deposited into these pools will be permanently locked.
The launch will also feature the Arctic native token, ARCTIC, although its supply, valuation, allocation, vesting schedule, and contract address have yet to be disclosed. The platform is positioning USDC as the base asset for all activities on the platform, leveraging Arc's use of USDC as its native gas asset.
Arctic believes this approach will give creators more flexibility in launching, pricing, and growing their on-chain markets while establishing a stronger liquidity foundation for their communities. The company has also implemented measures to reduce token sniping, including the ability for creators to set purchase limits during early trading.
