Tether's CEO Paolo Ardoino has acknowledged that criticism of the company persists despite an independent audit by KPMG's U.S. firm, but he remains unfazed.

Ardoino stated that Tether has repeatedly proven its reliability and welcomed the scrutiny as it helps improve the company's operations.

The audit was intended to provide independent verification of Tether's financial claims and increase transparency in the cryptocurrency sector.

Ardoino clarified that Tether International (TIL) is the sole entity issuing USDT, putting to rest any ambiguity about the corporate structure behind the world's largest stablecoin.
