Arizona Crypto ATM Law Nets $171K in Refunds for 35 Victims

Share

Arizona has been cracking down on crypto ATM fraud since its new law took effect in September. The state's Attorney General, Kris Mayes, announced that her office has helped 35 victims recover a total of $171,332 in refunds.

The law requires operators to provide full refunds for fraudulent transactions reported within 30 days for eligible new customers who used the machines for less than 10 days as determined by law enforcement.

This includes lowering daily transaction limits: $2,000 for new customers and $10,500 for existing customers, displaying warnings, and issuing receipts.
