ARK Seeks SEC Approval for Tokenized Venture Fund Share Class
ARK Investment Management has filed an application with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to issue a new share class of its venture fund, ARK Venture Fund.
The proposed Tokenized Class would record ownership using distributed ledger technology and trade on registered Alternative Trading System (ATS) venues or through peer-to-peer transfers between whitelisted wallets.
ARK is seeking relief under sections 6(c), 18, and 17(d) of the Investment Company Act and Rules 23c-3 and 17d-1.
The application does not name a tokenization provider or blockchain, referring only to 'tokenization agents' as an expense category.
