Armstrong Sees Bitcoin's Bottom, Predicts Crypto Growth Drivers
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong believes that Bitcoin may have reached its bottom in the current market cycle. In an interview, he stated that a new uptrend could begin within the next one to two years.
Armstrong also shared his thoughts on regulatory developments, stating that a final agreement is nearing on the Clarity bill, which aims to regulate the cryptocurrency market in the US. He expects clearer regulatory guidelines from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Commission (CFTC) within one to two weeks.
Additionally, Armstrong discussed Coinbase's plans to launch tokenized shares in the US, calling it an important part of the company's future plans. He also highlighted four main trends that will support the growth of the crypto sector until 2027: stablecoin-based payments, tokenization of stocks and real-world assets, predictive markets, and smart agent finance.
