Armstrong Still Sees $400k Bitcoin in 2030 Despite Recent Downturn
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong still believes in his Bitcoin price target of $400,000 by 2030. To reach this level, the largest cryptocurrency needs to rally by 420% from its current value of around $76,930.
Armstrong's prediction comes during a volatile stretch for Bitcoin, which has fallen 5.4% over the past week and sits about 39% below its October 2025 record of over $126,000.
In an interview with CNBC, Armstrong explained that Bitcoin moves through four-year cycles of run-up, euphoria, and decline. Most down periods last roughly a year, and this one has just passed that mark.
Armstrong pointed to two key events: the CLARITY Act, which faces a procedural vote in the Senate on September 15, and the next halving, about 18-19 months away. He expects the usual run-up ahead of it.
