Armstrong's Trump Ties: Coinbase CEO Criticizes Wealth Tax in Right-Wing Podcast

Share

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong has sparked controversy again by appearing on a right-wing podcast and making several bold claims, including criticizing California's plan to tax billionaires as an 'unconstitutional asset seizure'.

Armstrong made these comments on the Katie Miller Podcast, which is hosted by the wife of Stephen Miller, a current White House deputy chief of staff.

This isn't the first time Armstrong has spoken out against California's wealth tax plan. In 2021, he stated that Coinbase was considering leaving California if the plan passed.

However, despite threatening to relocate, Coinbase signed a four-year lease on 150,000 square feet of San Francisco office space in 2025.
