Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, has made a significant move in the cryptocurrency market by buying back Ether.fi (ETHFI) tokens. This purchase comes after he sold 265,461 ETHFI at $0.44 in April and booked a loss of around $118,000.

Hayes bought 1.9 million ETHFI tokens worth $1.17 million at $0.62 per token, which is about 41% higher than the price he sold them for earlier this year.

ETHFI has been on a roll in recent times, with its price climbing 25.3% over the past week. This rally puts it ahead of Bitcoin's (BTC) 21.4% gain and even beats Ethereum's (ETH) 27.8% advance.

However, ETHFI is still trading at around 93% below its record high of $8.53 in March 2024. Hayes' purchase has sparked interest among market analysts, with some questioning whether he will hold onto the tokens through the next drawdown.
