Arya.ag's Blockchain System Records $2B Grain Network for Indian Lenders
Arya.ag is using Avalanche-based blockchain technology to put records of stored crops on-chain for agricultural lenders in India, covering around $2 billion worth of grain.
The company's warehouse network holds this amount in grain, and the new system links information about deposited crops with their warehouse receipts and financing status. This allows banks to verify whether the grain exists, whether another lender has accepted it as collateral, and how much debt remains outstanding.
Arya.ag is facilitating approximately $1.3 billion in annual loans, with its non-bank finance subsidiary, Arya Dhan, directly providing around $230 million of that total. The company's blockchain links information about the deposited crop with its warehouse receipt and financing status, enabling participating institutions to have a common source of records during collateral verification.
