Asia Markets Tighten Grip on Crypto with AI-Powered Enforcement

Share

South Korea has deployed an AI-powered system to detect and prevent cryptocurrency price manipulation. The Financial Supervisory Service launched the real-time platform, which uses historical data to identify market abuse patterns.

The system will also be used to track cross-exchange fund flows and on-chain blockchain activity, underscoring the country's tightening oversight of digital asset markets.

In other news, Nomura-backed Laser Digital has become the first newly licensed crypto exchange service provider in Japan in four years. The firm plans to initially provide liquidity to domestic virtual asset service providers before expanding its offerings.
