Asia Takes the Lead in Bitcoin's Next Growth Phase
Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich believes that Bitcoin's recent recovery is the end of its latest decline, driven by growing demand replacing forced selling. According to Gerovich, stronger Asian capital and clearer digital asset regulations are key drivers for Bitcoin's next growth phase.
The Metaplanet CEO notes that Asia holds vast savings, particularly in Japan, which will fuel Bitcoin's growth amid rising inflation and a weaker yen. He highlights that only 20 Asian public companies hold Bitcoin, presenting a major adoption opportunity supported by developing local financial infrastructure.
Gerovich expects Asia to lead its own Bitcoin cycle, shaped by regional markets and rules rather than following the U.S. This is in contrast to previous cycles where global trends drove price movements.
