Asian Stocks Soar on AI Boom, Can Crypto Markets Follow Suit?
The Asian stock market has staged one of its strongest rebounds in history after blockbuster earnings from Microsoft and Amazon. The AI boom sparked a $1 trillion rebound, with nearly $450 billion added to Microsoft's market value alone.
The sharp recovery is led by semiconductor stocks, which have regained confidence that AI spending remains strong despite recent valuation concerns. South Korea's KOSPI jumped 17.9%, its biggest single-day gain on record, while SK Hynix surged 30% and Samsung Electronics climbed 27%.
The rally doesn't erase July's pain, however, as the KOSPI still ended the month down 22.19%. Market analyst Bull Theory compared the recent correction with previous major crashes, including the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis and the 2008 Global Financial Crisis.
A stronger appetite for technology stocks is often positive for digital assets, especially when investors move back into risk markets. If confidence in AI and technology continues improving, crypto markets could benefit as institutional investors rotate back into higher-risk assets.
