Asia's Cross-Asset Trading Surges 3308% as Futures Dominate Market
A new report by MEXC Ventures and Blockworks Research reveals that cross-asset trading is surging in Asia, driven largely by Futures markets. The study, which analyzed data from MEXC's platform, found that in the second quarter of 2026, average daily Stock Futures trading volume among MEXC users in Asia increased by a staggering 3,308% quarter over quarter.
The report also notes that 87.2% of Asian respondents plan to increase their traditional financial (TradFi) trading through cryptocurrency exchanges (CEXs). This trend is particularly pronounced in Southeast Asia, where the average daily number of users trading Stock Spot increased by 153% from the first quarter.
The growth of cross-asset trading is attributed to several factors, including the ease of use and accessibility offered by CEXs. The report highlights that many Asian users are already familiar with crypto and stablecoins, making it easier for them to expand into traditional assets such as gold, stocks, and indices.
